To help people get started with playing the ukulele, Babbacombe Ukulele Strummers run a 6 session Beginners’ Course, which is scheduled as required.

After the beginners’ course, you continue to learn to play at the Babbacombe Ukulele Strummers Monday sessions, or earlier if you feel ready.

The 6 weekly sessions will cover how to:

• Tune your ukulele
• Play basic chords
• Basic strumming
• How to play a number of tunes the Babbacombe Ukulele Strummers play

No prior experience in playing the ukulele is required. If you have a uke bring it with you, if not we have a few spare, one of which you could use before buying your own.

When: The 6 weekly sessions of the current course started on Friday 21st March with each session from 10:30am to 11:30am.

Cost: £24 for the six weeks to cover the facility costs. Payable by cash only either at or before the first session.

Where: Babbacombe Corinthian Sailing Club, Fore Street, St Marychurch, TQ1 4LY (next to the Co-Op)
