BACKGROUND<\/span><\/strong><\/strong><\/span><\/strong><\/strong><\/span><\/strong><\/strong><\/h1>\n

The UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK-GDPR) – is now in effect.\u00a0 To comply with this regulation we need to obtain the consent of all individuals who wish their details to be held on the Babbacombe Ukulele Strummers (BUS) Membership list.<\/span><\/p>\n

We are legally required not to send any emails and \/or other forms of communication to those who have not given their consent to the Babbacombe Ukulele Strummers.<\/span><\/p>\n

PURPOSE OF HOLDING PERSONAL DATA<\/span><\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n

Babbacombe Ukulele Strummers will use members\u2019 personal data principally for the purpose of communicating with members to provide information about Gigs, Sessions, Beginner\u2019s Workshops, New Tunes, and Tune Updates.\u00a0 The personal data will be used in \u2018Session Registers\u2019 and \u2018Gigs & Players Lists\u2019, the e-mail distribution list, and held in the BUS Membership list. Telephone numbers are used either in emergencies such as late cancellation of gigs, or to contact people who do not have an email address.\u00a0 .
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

PERSONAL DATA HELD<\/span><\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n

Personal data held is name [required], e-mail address [preferable but not required], and telephone number(s) [at least one is required during the Covid pandemic – see above].<\/span><\/p>\n

Provision of name and one telephone number are a requirement of being a member of the Babbcaome Ukulele Strummers.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

Additionally, consent is also required for us to publish photographs of our gigs on the BUS website and Facebook account.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

PERSONAL DATA NOT HELD<\/span><\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n

No sensitive personal data will be asked for or held. BUS will not hold information on children, any child attending our sessions must be accompanied at all times by a parent or adult relative who is a member.<\/span><\/p>\n

STORAGE OF PERSONAL DATA<\/span><\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n

Personal data will be held on a password protected computer and email system which have restricted access.<\/span><\/p>\n

RIGHT TO SEE DATA AND WITHDRAW CONSENT<\/span><\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n

All members have the right to see their personal data held and if required to withdraw their consent for it to be held by BUS.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0REMOVAL OF PERSONAL DATA WHEN A MEMBER LEAVES BUS<\/span><\/strong><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

Should a member leave the Babbacombe Ukulele Strummers, then in order to protect their identity their personal data will be deleted from the systems to which BUS has access within six weeks of the confirmation of their leaving.<\/span><\/p>\n

BABBACOMBE UKULELE STRUMMERS COMMITMENT<\/span><\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n

Babbacombe Ukulele Strummers agree that members\u2019 personal data will not be divulged to any third party outside the BUS membership for any purpose whatsoever.\u00a0 If a member asks for personal data of another member, then it will not be provided without the permission of that other member.\u00a0 Additionally no personal data will be displayed on the Babbacombe Ukulele Strummers website or Facebook Account.<\/span><\/p>\n

MEMBER’S COMMITMENT<\/span><\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n

Members must con\ufb01rm that they will not divulge personal data of other members to third parties or to those who are not named on the Babbacombe Ukulele Strummers Membership list. <\/span><\/p>\n
